AFTERS

Terms of Use

Last updated 6 August 2026.

Using AFTERS means agreeing to these. They are short on purpose.

Who can join

You need a valid .edu address at a university we operate at, you must be at least 16, and your membership has to be approved by us. One account per person, under your real name. We can decline or withdraw membership at our discretion — it is a private community, not a public platform.

Content and conduct — no tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on AFTERS. Do not post, send or share anything that is:

Do not photograph or post a person at a chapter who has asked you not to.

How this is enforced

Every post and every member can be reported from inside the app, and any member can block another. Reports reach a moderator and are acted on within 24 hours. Content that breaks these rules is removed. The person who posted it may be warned, suspended or removed from AFTERS entirely, and we may refuse them entry to events. Serious matters go to the police.

You can report from the post itself, from a profile, or by emailing afters.eclipse@gmail.com.

Your content stays yours

What you post belongs to you. You give us permission to show it to other approved members inside AFTERS, and nothing more — we do not license it out, sell it, or use it in advertising. Delete a post and it is gone; delete your account and they all are.

Tickets and entry

At an event

Chapters are real events at real venues. Follow the venue's rules and the law. AFTERS does not sell or supply alcohol. If you are drinking, be of legal age. Look after each other — if something is wrong, find a member of staff.

The boring necessary part

AFTERS is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes and questions

If these terms change materially we will tell you in the app. Questions to afters.eclipse@gmail.com.
